We can’t delete content based purely on spite.
Lemmy needs more Seinfeld content.
This made me curious if there’s a Seinfeld community. https://lemmy.world/c/seinfeld Yay!
They’ve started un-deleting comments and posts based on backups from the last 5 years. Even if you delete your account too.
This is why I chose to not delete my account, so if that happens, I can just detonate again.
Same. I check it every so often just so I can re-edit and then re-delete out of spite. That is the only time I’ve visited “the site that shall not be named” since all this drama started. That site is now officially dead to me. Even if they miraculously reverse course and spez yeets himself off our planet I will never actively use that site again.
Really? How do you know?
I too, would like to know.
I used PowerDeleteSuite to nuke my posts/comments and two days later everything was back
luckily I kept the account itself intact so I have been methodically deleting my comments/posts manually, and so far those have stayed gone
I think they detected when people were using scripts and just reverted those changes
Reminds me of the great r/animemes split to r/dankanimemes and the former. Was wild woth references and deleting.
