I juuuust retired a t420s recently… off lease computers are absolutely the way to go for buying new to you laptops.

Toss in a SSD and a Linux distro… and you’re good for 6-8 years imho

My wife did a cert class for data analytics and needed a work horse laptop. I bought her a used i7 Thinkpad from eBay.

It’s so damn fast… m2 drive 32 GB of ram it’s literally only limited in speed by the user input.

As an American in the south east… 72-78 slow breeze partially cloudy and very very little humidity.

The humidity is what kills you here… Sure it’s 85° out… but 98% make it suck.

Yep. I bought Plex pass lifetime for $60 a while back. It came with plexamp which allowed me stream music to my phone.

Which after Google play music was murdered I vowed never to do a streaming service again.

So that was worth it.

Say what you want about the direction Plex is going currently… But as of now it 100% meets my needs.
