Idk if it’s medical or more psychological but the term for when your hear a word so many times it loses meaning is one of my favorite phrases in the English language.
Semantic satiation

A few years ago I would immediatly leave if I saw a burger for more than $15 on a menu regardless of how many unnecessary toppings they had one it.
Now it costs more than that for a plain cheeseburger with a 6 Oz patty.
Idk how anybody is still eating out we can take the money we’d spend on a meal in a restaurant and cook something that’s better quality and we have leftovers for 2 days. The only benefits off eating out are to get cheap slop you would feel bad about cooking for yourself.
“We put three different kinds of rubbery bacon on top of it and you better believe we’re charging you a premium for every one”
In the later books Harry gets a slave and doesn’t free him but its ok because the slave is rude.
Because 90% of jobs don’t just let you do leisure activities on the clock and doing literally anything makes time go faster than sitting around doing literally nothing.
Catholics do a bunch of stuff other Christians think makes them not Christina.
The biggest one is the pope, catholic lore says the pope is the literal spokesperson for God on earth all other religions he doesn’t have authority.
Idolatry: other Christian religions don’t have a lot of images of saints or anybody other than christ and basically think catholics are wrong for worshipping Mary and saints on the same level as Jesus. Similarly it’s the difference between catholic crucifixes (has the dead guy on them) vs regular crosses
Transubstantiation: according to catholic lore when the alter boy rings the bell that is LITERALLY the body and blood of christ you’re eating. Pretty sure other religions think this is a step too far.
Hitler loved dogs after all.
Ya know until material conditions came knocking and he tested his cyanide supply ona dog to make sure he wouldn’t have a painful death.
Oh so all of those good parts of history you were talking about are when they directly opposed Isreal and zionism isn’t that interesting.
There’s a deep history of American workers movements that doesn’t mean the entire country doesn’t deserve to be nuked from orbit.
This is kind of how I became a socialist.
Did a mission trip to Nicaragua when I was young, got home and wondered why the country was so fucked up.
“Oh, it’s literally entirely America’s fault, intentional, and their exact strategy for foreign relations which is just imperialism.”
The net benefit is that people enjoy it.
If there was some negative that outweighed that you’d think the bill would be banning that practice but the thing they don’t like is its partially owned by Chinese companies so they’re just trying to force it to be sold so it can cobtinye to operate in the exact same way but just for the benefit of an American billionaire instead.
“Can you do something so that any given incel can’t shoot 30 of us while we hide under our desk.” - kids
“Literally go fuck yourself also no tik tok because it could be dangerous.” - government
Yea probably should have included the caveat tools but nothing that would benconsidered a safety device.
I’m also not buying fall prevention anything for as cheap as possible.
Good point I’d put hardware like screws and nails themselves in the same category of stuff it’s worth not getting the cheapest version of.
Tools and sports equipment especially if it’s something niche.
People shit on harbor freight but if you need a new tool or something for a hobby it’s probably not something you’re going to use often if youve already soent any significant tiem doing that hobby.
Buy the cheapest version of it and of you use it enough to either break it or figure out what parts of the design you don’t like it’s a good sign spending a little extra on a better version isn’t a waste.
Especially getting into a new hobby avoiding the urge to buy expensive shit right at the beginning because you think it’ll make you better at the thing.
The ambiguous ones at least have some discussion around it. The ones I’ve seen thenxouple times I had the misfortune of seeing them on Facebook were just straight up basic order of operations questions. They weren’t ambiguous, they were about a 4th grade math level, and all thenpeople from my high-school that complain that school never taught them anything were completely failing to get it.
I’m talking like 4+1x2 and a bunch of people were saying it was 10.
Liberals stay dumb as fuck.
Ask the BLM organizers who committed suicide by shooting themselves multiple times and then setting their car on fire how secure they feel.
Or the person who published the Panama papers, whatever happened to that guy.
Setting aside all the legal reason people have outlined its important to rmeber this is America.
If a rich enough person wants you dead they’ll shoot you in the head on the front porch of your home in broad daylight in front of your neighbors and then the cops will say no crime happened and the news will say that person always lived there.
Rich people can and do act however they want without consequences and our entire judicial system is just set up as a smokescreen to point to to tell poor people that isn’t the case.
Which really highlights how stupid and funny the “act of god” line is
So has he just randomly decided recently that he wants to spend more time fucking up people’s houses or is it maybe that it wasn’t just collateral damage of some benevolent beings plans and maybe there’s a a more concrete basis for why these weather events occur.
People thinking their clever by making up words that already have a meaning.
“Lawfare” meaning chargingnrich white assholes for the crime they committed
“Disinformatsiya” or however libs spelled it to mean pointing out the hypocrisy of American nationalists.
“Sanewashing” to describe media putting their thumb on the scale for the fascist who wants to cut their taxes.
It implies it’s a new phenomenon and not just the current version of whatever propoganda apparatus has been chugging along for decades.
Liberals complain about “sanewashsing” and then in the same breath talk about how cheyney and bush weren’t exactly the fucking same as Trump.
