I don’t know, I use BSKY.

The only reason I actually wound up signing up on Lemmy is that there is one “main” instance by appearance, and it lets you participate in others(?). (Lemmy.world)
You don’t need to know any of the more esoteric stuff to get going.
I mean if I run out of RPG ammo in GTA I can buy more for a universal currency I don’t have to keep beating crime lords down with a big stick until one of them drops a fresh one.
Meanwhile I read the books as an artful evasion of an english assignment as a child but the movies just seemed too long for me to digest.
Maybe if they were packaged as a TV show but not at all changed in terms of content I could manage to get through it all in a day or so
Also I can’t look past the fact that there’s absolutely no way that they wouldn’t establish a form of nonverbal communication. ASL? Enthusiastic head nodding?!
The final boss of Windows is to crowbar out a metric shitton of bullshit and you do it with a bunch of registry tweaks and GPedit

It turns out old.lemmy.world doesn’t have it lmao.
I hate the newer style look so uh, yeah.
I promise I’m not stupid, but uhhhh, when I click on my name, it brings me to a page that looks like a community with an overview of everything I’ve posted, but there’s not an option to select a language.
That said, I was also spooked off by the “You won’t see most content” thing, which led me to believe that a lot of communities aren’t language tagged properly(?)
The only settings i see are these, and if I navigate to my own profile I don’t see any unique setting buttons.

I filter non-english subs whenever I can (Sorry I want to be able to read things) ;v;
There doesn’t seem to be an automatic way to do this though
I’d say Sideshow Bob is more apt, only Bob was kind of smart.
The issue is that even if half of them go there, the rest are scattered to the wind, and you’re not guaranteed to find them again.
The biggest loss here is that I follow a lot of artists on Twitter and when it goes kaput I won’t have easy access to follow them.
“And you’re trying to get a job at an arby’s?”
The text message thing, quiet uber option and with consent, saved as thing, would be neat.
I am extremely horrified by the prospect of GenAI grading.
I have a slightly different angle, I just arrange the parts and start following directions.
Ideally A-Z if they’re labeled that way, I also bring my little screwdriver. (It’s this kind, not a full on drill) as well as a drill bit and small utility screws.
I am assembling this furniture, it doesn’t get to negotiate.
Honestly I was praying that Lemmy dispensed with that reddit-ism
I already have BSKY and am not currently interested in picking up yet another account for something but thank you
