I think it depends on your budget and where you live. North America has System76, UK has Starlabs, Germany has Tuxedo, Netherlands has laptopswithlinux and Spain has Slimbook. I think Starlabs are the only ones who do a tablet. Has your wife tried using an external graphics tablet? I don’t use Krita myself but if you want to save money and buy a second hand convertible it might be worth asking/searching on a Krita forum about what others are using from the bigger manufacturers.

I don’t think it’s very likely. Even if it was even remotely affordable or feasible he actually needs opposition to define himself and his base ‘ruggedly independent’ and as ‘freedom fighters’.

Either slices cut in half or diced and the peanuts whole, in separate dishes. A half mouthful of peanuts followed by a half mouthful of tomato. Never mix the two together before eating! I prefer to use a spoon.

I find it great and in fact I prefer some things to photoshop, like the default keyboard shortcuts, saves as a project file, better filters, amazing plugins, full control over preferences and scriptability. I also prefer the foreground select tool and unified transform tool. There are a few things that PS does better though, like its warp tool and custom print settings, plus obviously nondestructive editing (coming in next GIMP release). People shit on GIMP way more than it deserves. I put it down to a) sunk costs in learning Photoshop b) slow development in the past and c) groupthink/fashionable.
I agree. For the spec though, Dell aren’t any better value for money than laptops from the smaller ‘for linux’ sellers. Which is pretty cool. Of course it’s much easier to find used Dell laptops though.
