It was just a livestream feature, something that can easily be incorporated into youtube to make their streaming more approachable. No point in it being offered here just like when it showed up on reddit. The same thing goes for place.

So glad KDE exists.
Technology Connections is criminally underrated. Genuinely a really smart and entertaining guy.
Flatpak for sure, appimages are okay in certain circumstances and snaps are trash.
I would play video games or just relax and listen to music
Pair of Thieves and Volcom are good upgrades. Mainly because the material is more of a thinner silky material. Feels cooler in warm weather and dont chafe with sweat. I dont recommend buying them on their website but if you can get them from a place like burlington they are an amazing upgrade imo.
Redgifs embeds was what I was referring to.
One time while I was working I saw someone with a case that was this massive brick that had spikes all over it. I asked them why it looked like that and apparently it was so they wouldnt lose sight of it or misplace it. I guess thats why people have the huge cases.
Had no idea 402 was a thing, or rather is going to be a thing…
Inline video is a thing on Lemmy, dont ask me how I know but it is now possible with certain hosting sites.
Never heard of them they must be new. Look into framework laptops also. First modular laptops almost completely customizable and they just opened pre orders for the new model.
I thought you were Richard Hammond for a moment
Almost as if rome wasnt built in a day
That reminds me, we gotta add fucknestle to lemmy.
Their tagline “Shop like a billionaire” makes me sick. Fast fashion and stuff like Temu have become so predatory lately. Fuck FOMO tactics.
Been aware of it for the past year since twitter fucked up API access and I knew that reddit was going public someday.
I even selfhosted a matrix server for a while to try to use discord less but that fizzled out. Its complicated and kind of resource intensive to host your own instances especially with federation. But I am glad that is an option and will do it when I can upgrade my homelab. Now that reddit has fallen I am committing to the fediverse using mastodon and lemmy.
No more reddit at all. I even blocked reddit on my search engine. Everyday lemmy as a service, the apps we use, and the content we see here are improving. It just takes time.
Fediverse is truly the last bastion we have against shit like twitter and reddit. Why do you think Threads will try to federate with us? its because they see the potential aswell. However we’ll see how that shakes up with almost everyone agreeing not to federate with them.
Been like this for a long time now. Both YT and YT Music are unusable on desktop due to the lag.
