Thank you! That’d be an invaluable resource.
there’s no style to it
I mean, it depends on how you are defining “style”, but, to avoid being pedantic, I actually think that it does have a style, and a very recognizable and unique style at that. It has a very maximalist, industrial, gritty look to it that I love. Everything is so hyper-detailed in model design, texture, and animation. It all fits a very specific aesthetic. It’s completely fine if that aesthetic is not to your taste, but I think it’s disingenuous to say that it has no style at all.
I hate old games.
Is 2020 considered old…?. I understand that the game was available for some time prior to that, but during that period Factorio was in early access. 1.0 came out in 2020, and I am treating that as the full release, and everything prior to that is beta testing for development.
Factorio’s art really does kinda suck.
I will restate the original question: What do you not like about it?
I’m not interested in Factorio because imo it looks terrible.
What do you not like about it?
When did we reach the point of deep fried Tintin?
Can you clarify what you mean by “unique”?
I mean, that’s a cool looking QR code that I’ve never seen before, which I suppose is technology related, but, other than that, I have no idea wtf this post is even supposed to be.
I’m not sure if it’s my “favorite”, necessarily, but I couldn’t think of anything else, and it is a good show, and, imo, rather unknown, but I’ll share Wakfu (the French version (with subtitles if you don’t speak French). I’d highly recommend not watching the dub — it isn’t very good).
If the trick-or-treater is polite, isn’t acting entitled, and is just trying to get into the Halloween spirit, I honestly don’t care what age they are. I love Halloween, I love handing out candy, and I love seeing people’s costumes. It’s always kind of bothered me when I hear people making comments about whether someone is “too old” for trick or treating. It’s a rather strange thing to gatekeep, imo. It’s all good fun.
Factorio (Space Age expansion).
Also, if applied recursively, it approaches 2:

Ah, so it does [1]. Apologies! Perhaps another older Thinkpad has a 12" screen? From what I’ve heard, and from my experience with my own T460, they’re usually pretty solid laptops, so if you could find one with the specs that you are seeking, I would say that it’s worth considering.

Older Thinkpad (eg T460)?
Dang, that’s pretty neat! Man, there’s probably going to be some funky bugs with legacy code getting included into Rust.
I thought Rust already had several different methods for interacting with C++?
Oh? Would you mind sharing them? It would be absolutely fantastic if such a thing existed and is mature enough to be practically used.
Factorio’s art style may draw its inspiration from older games that had technological limitations that forced specific art techniques, but I’d only be guessing — I haven’t found any official source that states where Factorio drew its artistic inspiration.
