Oh, we can see them alright. Haven’t seen so many tagged profiles in a long while.

They’re using the same playbook as the fascists, insisting the word is overused and meaningless while painting themselves as victims. It’s actually fascinating how similar hexbear snd the_donald feel.
There has to be a way to fit Star Trek in too…
Was at 10 yesterday, since I was playing Arkham Shadow and you don’t get much more badass than being Batman.
Today it’s 1. My whole body hurts. The one point comes from me not oversleeping this morning.
Bullshit. They patched the vertical castling exploit in the 70s.
I think they prefer to stay without a name.
Ah, ok. Playing the original Half-Life in VR is great for the nostalgia value, though probably not that great if you’re not familiar with the game itself. There’s a bunch of great VR ports of old games for the standalone Quest by developers calling themselves “Team Beef”. Doom 1, 2 and 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quake 1, 2, 3 AND 4, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy… the original Tomb Raider is coming soon too.
The real draw is to see those familiar game worlds from a new perspective.
Well, depending on what VR setup you have I can either help you set it up or it might be impossible.
Portal 2 in VR runs on a PC (a pretty good gaming PC) connected to the headset either through a cable or wirelessly. If that’s the setup you’re using, it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out.
If you have an Oculus/Meta Quest and only play standalone (that is, no PC is involved, everything runs on the headset), then I’m afraid that’s not good enough for Portal 2 or Half-Life 2, though there is a VR port of the original Half-Life. All you’d need for that is any PC (even potato quality) and a USB cable.
There’s also a VR mod for HL2. Makes it a better VR game than Alyx IMO.
Kinda experienced Portal 2 again for the first time when I played through it in VR. Such an amazing game!
I had a super cynical dystopian idea. Never got around to fleshing it out, so its stability is doubtful at best, but here goes:
So a problem with democracy is that advertising is a powerful force and the candidate with more money to throw into their campaign tends to win, not to mention various forms of bribery coming into play after the elections. A ton of money is being wasted on shady behind-the-scenes deals. Lets get rid of all that and bring it into the light!
Get rid of elections AND politicians, since they are just middlemen. Instead create a kind of stock market for various spheres and levels of lawmaking and have megacorporations and other interested parties bid on those.
Money that would have been secretly funneled into politician pockets instead goes openly into the government budget.
Save more money on elections and government official salaries since there are none.
Corps that make laws that benefit consumers get to use that in their advertising. Buy from ProcLive! The company that brought you halfway decent healthcare!
Voting with you wallet ends up being mandatory. You don’t like that Disney took away weekends? Give your hard-earned cash to Sony next time. They promised to reduce mamdatory weekly working hours to 65!
Maybe sometimes a local citizen initiative manages to raise enough money to get governmental powers in a small town or something. I mean, probably not, but you gotta give people some hope, right?
Stalinism is literally 1984
Nonsense. You should be pondering all orbs at all times.
Sharknado VR. Got it on sale for half a dollar. Not bad for the price. It was about what I expected and with a playtime of about 30 minutes it didn’t have the time to get stale.
