I’m old enough that my grandpa in 1930’s was living not much different than a serf and was constantly malnourished, and it was in one of most fertile parts of Poland, country famous for its fertile fields (it’s even in name, Poland means “Land of the fields/farmlands”). And that was 70 years after serfdom was abolished, because before that it was one huge horror story and literal slavery.

Yeah, even the easiest and most obvious thing, furthermore the one requiring least devwork, mods, were deliberately missed in case of Starfield by not releasing mod tools until much later. At first the hype was real, first two weeks seen something like 2000 mods released on nexus… but nearly all those were just reskins and other simple mods possible without tools. But then you could see the enthusiasm evaporating in real time until not much is left. If the tools were available on release the game would be now in much better state by every metrics.

And it’s always just about who have the power and who won. British Empire ruled over Egypt so Brits could steal whatever they wanted and they were never properly dismantled so they didn’t given almost anything back. Other examples include emperor Constantine looting most of empire to build and decorate city he modestly called after himself, but again byzaboo brain disorder is so common people are still defending this. Nazi Germany also robbed entire Europe but they lost hard so it’s properly called “robbing” nowadays.
