  • IMO the vast majority of people that use community mods are pretty thankful and just enjoy them despite any issues the mod has so long as overall it works well. They just play and keep their mouths shut.

There are a few that offer real and constructive criticism.

And the rest are the vocal trolls that just hate on everything. Unfortunately if they aren’t “fucking your mother last night” on whatever game chat you might be on they’re busy trashing on the “unplayable” game they’ve spent 500 hours playing in the last several months or on the forums berating the modders’ efforts. They’re just hateful people and hating on women in general is par for the course, if one dares participating in gaming they’re just another target for their shitty incel behavior.

  • My music is a compost pile. All the new stuff I listen to is on top and it gets listened to on repeat and the music is less engaging the further down the stack it goes, even though it was on repeat when it was fresh. Stuff at the bottom of the list may only get played once in a year or even less.

My brain has changed a bit over time. I used to need that constant noise, it helped things flow. Now I prefer quiet. Noise breaks the flow.

  • Because they want to exhaust the person engaging in a good faith discussion. It’s far more labor intensive to have to look for, find, verify for contextual correctness, quote and link said sources, then argue why one’s position is factually correct.

And all the other person has to do is cite some patently false bullshit in 5 seconds and disregard the argument.

  • Plain white basmati rice.

One cup rice. If it’s not washed, wash it.

    2 1/4 cups water.

    1 heaping teaspoon salt.

Put rice, salt, and water in pot.

Bring to boil. Stir a little to keep rice from sticking too much.

Soon as it boils, take off heat, put heat to low, then put pot back on heat and put a lid on it.

~ 20 minutes later, check. Should not be any water in the bottom of the pot. If no water, eat!

    user replaceable battery?

I’m no apple fan, but some of these features don’t really mean much, like the screen refresh rate, data transfer rate, or codec support. Pretty small subset of users are going to care about these, the vast majority of people just browse, play simple games, and maybe run a map or spotify or whatever.

That said, the 16 is built to use Apple’s AI, and that’s pretty much reason enough for me to not want to go anywhere near it. I’ll buy an older model before I support this AI crap.

  • This is true.

I dropped a Bratwurst when I was stacking them on the plate to bring inside off the grill.

Wasn’t going to wash it off, it was covered in dirt. It was the dog’s lucky day when I called her to come collect it.

Now, every single time she gets let out she has to check the brat-drop-spot and make sure another hasn’t materialized in her absence.
