Came here to say the same. Such a great distro, and it’ll be an easy switch from manjaro.

I’ve been running it with btrfs and it has been rock solid stability wise. If you go btrfs I recommend grub btrfs for easy boot time snapshots and btrfs-assistant in the aur if you want a GUI to manage btrfs maintenance.

This is amazing! If you are looking for US EN and use a phone with arm64 I can recommend sherpa-onnx-1.10.27-arm64-v8a-en-tts-vits-piper-en_US-kristin-medium and sherpa-onnx-1.10.27-arm64-v8a-en-tts-vits-piper-en_US-norman-medium.

Edit: I don’t seem to be able to get the engine to show up as a tts engine but it works well within the tts app itself. Hopefully I’ll find a fix I’ve been searching for a good tts engine for android eBook apps.

You can always just try endeavouros. Its pretty much arch with calmaries installer. It even uses official arch repos

Take 2 people that have not used gimp or krita. Ask them to daw a circle, and see which software they are able to do it in.

Gimp is a ux nightmare (or at least it used to be i haven’t used ot in years) I will try gimp 3 when it comes out in 2037

Imo shared seedboxes with a large app selection that includes nextcloud are the best bang for the buck storage wise, even if you never plan to use it for seeding.

Used thinkpads especially the older ones (t480 and older) have a ton of extra parts floating around, and you can get them cheap. I built a t480 with 8th gen i7 from parts for around $170 over a year ago, it has been a great experience. I upgraded the trackpad and keyboard and plan to upgrade the screen, cooling, and battery next.

logseq definitely coming along. I tried their donation only sync and it seems to mostly work.

That said nothing has beaten Standardnotes for me. Standardnotes can be found on flathub, fdroid etc. The only drawback is to get the important features you need to either selfhost or buy the plan. The free service is very barebones
