Kbin has this ability, but Lemmy does not (yet).
Just another Reddit refugee

Totally depends on the challenge of the project - and it follows a bell curve. Too easy and it’s annoying, too difficult (or takes too long) and it’s fucking aggravating. But those rare Goldilocks projects that are a challenge but shit just clicks along? Chefs kiss.
Another vote for UniFi gear. I administer four homes for myself and my family, three of them all use UniFi equipment (and the fourth will next time I get over there, it’s in another country).
Huffman has argued the changes are a business decision to force AI companies training on Reddit’s data to pony up
LMFAO that ship has fucking sailed. They already used Reddit data through 2021 and got everything they needed for free. Huffman is locking the barn after the horses are already out, and setting it on fire. What a fucking dumbass.
What is kbin.social doing differently?
Unknown about kbin, but I’ve heard that Hot is currently broken for (most?) instances across the lemmyverse. (This might be related to the size of the instance - apparently for small (single-to-double-digit users) instances Hot works fine?)
Edit: and this is supposed to be fixed in the next release, 0.18
Me too. I actually put in an application for an account on Beehaw on day 1 just because they seemed to be the most active (before I understood how any of this works.) Never got a reply - I think we both dodged a bullet 🤣
I joined sh.itjust.works because I like the domain. It makes me smile 🙂
A big problem with this is that since 2016 the bots and hired commenters have thoroughly poisoned the intellectual well. What used to be considered extreme in 2016 was so artificially boosted that now real people have completely bought into the bullshit.
