111·7 months agoI think it originally comes from TikTok. Basically women were asked if, when they are alone in a forest, they would rather encounter a man or a bear. Lots of women answered “bear”. Lots of men were upset about it.
Ever since Ukraine’s February revolution, the Kremlin has characterised the new leaders in Kiev as a “fascist junta” made up of neo-Nazis and anti-Semites, set on persecuting, if not eradicating, the Russian-speaking population.
This is demonstrably false. Far-right parties failed to pass a 5% barrier to enter parliament, although if they had banded together, and not split their vote, they would have probably slipped past the threshold.

The odious Russian media tried to paint Ukraine as a land of Nazis, though that is patently wrong. Ukraine has a thriving Jewish community, and its far-right is still on the fringe. It’s the same in America.
There was actually a german ad about this quite some time ago: a grandma did this, then called her grandson “i think i just deleted the internet”.
How the ad continued? No clue.
What it was advertising? No clue.

I think the main reason lemmy is mostly news, memes and discussion atm is that thats something everyone can do/ participate in. And since there arent that many users right now, thats what most content is.
Though I for one would be very happy to see such projects: self-made art, music, crafting, cooking, whatever else people are up to. And I dont think im alone in that
How does that work with touchscreens though? Since you arent dragging your mouse across the screen. Does it then fully fall back on the pictures?
Most of the time, it works if you just select the 3 most fitting ones
