Deploy database? You mean something like SQL?
chmod 777
do?True. I think I’ll switch to Arch proper soon.
Didn’t know if it was supported but this clears it up. Thanks.
Do I have to use PC receiver or is that unnecessary?
HOLY SHIT! YES! Thank you so much! I thought that drive was a goner. I was on the verge of just buying a new SSD. You just saved me a couple hundred bucks. Thank you once again!
I went ahead tried this but got an error when using makepkg -si
:/home/[username]/ntfsprogs-ntfs3/PKGBUILD: line 45: autoreconf: command not found
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
Aborting...
I went to file in question and line 45 says this: autoreconf -vfi
That’s the thing: I don’t have Windows installed on that SSD. I double checked.
This fiasco demonstrates why open source is the superior software model.
We need more devices like this. Will definitely pick this up.
Having something that doesn’t connect to the internet makes for a better device in the long run. Plus, as others have mentioned, less distractions.
Of course. Just remember this when buying a laptop (and by extension a printer): FUCK HP!
While I’m yet to do it myself, I would suggest getting a Thinkpad T480 and upgrading its RAM. The reason you want a T480 is because it was the last Thinkpad to have user removable parts. One tip: when using eBay, make sure you filter out the T480s. The T480s is not the same as the T480 since it doesn’t have user removable parts.
I’ve been wanting a Framework so bad. When I start working again (which should be soon), I’m going to save up for one.
If there’s one I’ve learned after being on the internet for 17 years, it’s this; you can throw an entire mountain of evidence at a conspiracy theorist and they STILL won’t believe you.
Looked into Kagi. Seems interesting. Personally, I use either Brave search or Searx. There’s was post over at Linux@lemmy.ml about open source alternatives to ChatGPT and I might look into those. But I definitely keep Kagi in mind. By the way, How good is Kagi for,um… “sailing the high seas”?
I could be wrong but I think the
(..+?)
portion will either remove a dud or replenish the allowance.
