There is a short story in here about someone who can’t pass a captcha, loses their identity, and has to move on to becoming a fisherman in Norway.

I think we could all use a good refresher. Also, why do the neighbors on the left now have to leave through the back gate to Egypt and still report their comings and going to the neighbors on the right?
Monarchists didn’t really support Capitalism
Tell that to literally any monarchy in history.
Communists
Did I say communist? Did I stutter?
also known as thermobaric liberalism.
I mean, monarchy supported capitalism. Even many socialist countries support capitalism. So supporting capitalism isn’t specific enough.
Well it’s no 1896 pattern light cavalry saber…
You missed the part where they prevented debates internal to the party, there by setting up the third parties in the first place.
Yeah idk. I spend a inordinate amount of time talking about tides and watching them, but generally only high and low are focused on because the midtide is when the water is changing the fastest. The water spends more time at high or low than it does I. the middle, so it’s not really noticable.
Ahem…

Yeah idk. One reason is why I said ‘psuedo-anonymous’. And then there is also an element of trust. If you delegate your vote and they vote against your interests, well thats that I suppose and you wont trust them again. So I do think it could be largely private at least in certain directions (we dont’ all get to “know” who your delegates are, even if the system does. But then again, does it need to be private?
In terms of legislation, I was imagining the users of the system themselves do the work of crafting it, and it gets voted on within the system
To be clear, they roleplay as a “hardcore communist”, whatever that is. Its not any different than how billionaire sycophants with no access to capital make statements like “I’m a capitalist” while working minimum wage jobs.
Having a high-paying software engineering job while enjoying the social safety net that a liberal social-democracy provides, does not one a communist make.
