My local library! I’ve taken out hundreds of materials over the past few years completely free. Discovered a new genre of books I love, and used their other benefits to noticeably improve my skills - free professional lessons and seminars, free access to Lynda/LinkedIn Learning, free one-on-one resume coaching, and lots more.
But MUH TAAAXES!
“Unless you are in Sales” is a personality asterisk for so many things hahah!
T480 is solid as hell, had one as new in my last job, a bit heavier but very serviceable, would recommend.
Key statement here - “operating at a loss”. Interest rates are climbing and cheap capital is a thing of the past now. They need to become profitable. If they don’t, the Epic Store and all those libraries of free games might just disappear.
Any one company is at risk of this as well, but Valve has been doing this for a long time, so they’ve built trust.
Yennl?
How do you define “capital”? I own a paid-off vehicle. That’s my biggest single asset. Am I therefore evil? It’s parked in the garage of this home I rent. Used car market right now means it’s worth a bit more than it would be otherwise.
Oh, and I’m also a shareholder in my employer. Gasp!
All this talk is highly dangerous us-vs-them, black-and-white divisive crap that isn’t going to go anywhere productive. Stop it. Grow up.
