I’m good friends with the lead singer of a band who has 225 monthly listeners on Spotify, which is pretty good considering they are in Cambodia.

Hmm, doesn’t seem to be working. Might be specific on the apps maybe
1 mega plus = 4.5
1 “roll” =4.55555556
1 double plus = 2.26666667
1 super mega = 6.
Sorry for formatting I’m on mobile
‘You haven’t taken your Joy today’
I would say no I wouldn’t take the pill, but that’s also based on my experience with ‘We Happy Few’, which seems to take the idea from this book and run with it. I would recommend watching some videos on the game maybe. It isn’t the greatest game of all time, but the story made me keep playing.
God damn kids these days.
Internet Explorer was bad, give me internet points.
If you think it’s hard in developed countries(im trying not to make an assumption about where you live but assume it’s considered a developed country) you should see the issue in other countries. Maggi is one of the most popular brands in a lot of South Easy Asia; you see their sauces in most restaurants and the instant noodles are considered the best.
And the whole Japanese Kit Kat thing. I’ve seen store in SEA that have tons of different Kit Kats forms Japan because they have tons of flavours. Obviously this is also popular.
Nestle has dug themselves an entrenched position in SEA and will not give it up.
Not only are they small, they keep appearing in feeds and people downvote them because they don’t want to see sporting content instead of just blocking the community.
Thanks for the advice, there’s definitely a lot more people on the NFL community but the Steelers are generally not viewed well by the NFL fans at large haha.
Thanks. It’s a smaller instance for the Steelers, !Steelers@lemmy.world
A lot of people (like myself) need to step out of their comfort zones if we want Lemmy to get more conversations going. Yesterday I made a game thread in the community for my favourite NFL team; I was the only one who commented. But I’m going to try and make one for the game next week.
I would never just ‘bin’ 5lbs of chicken that’s insane! Either deal with the feathers, take it back where you got it or give it to someone else. That’s like $40 worth of chicken
Sports subreddits. The majority of users on the sports subs I followed got all high and mighty when the strike happened, thinking that they were more important. I made the only post so far on nfl memes and barely got any interaction.
I think 10 years ago that is what is did actually mean, and it’s what it’s supposed to mean. But in the last 4-5 years there has been a shift as Reddit got more popular and as they changed how upvotes and downvotes actually affect comments.
With so many more people joining the site, the opinions got a lot more diverse and vehement. People hitting the downvote button got a lot more prevalent. This doesn’t mean that upvotes weren’t happening as well(I’ve seen posts that had one of the bottom comments rise all the way to the top after new information comes out or the video hits all).
So, anyways I think you are right and that’s what it was supposed to mean, but it has changed meaning for the most part I think. And I think there has been a lot more assholes on the other site anyways, so it was definitely being used on/by them.
That’s not really a great comparison. Downvoting is a way to say you disagree with someone without getting into an argument. And if I think of my personal experience, most of the posts/comments I would downvote on Reddit are about things that there is no point getting into an argument about.
This makes me happy I never got to play Tarkov.
