  • because as far as you were concerned, everyone is in the same tribe as you

I definitely don’t think that way. I’m aware that I am different from other people.

    Reposting from my other comment:

Well I had the luxury of dating a psychologist who specializes in diagnoses and her brother is autistic - so she is very aware of autism and how it works and what it looks like in different people.

She confirmed I’m not autistic and thought it was hilarious that anyone would assume that about me. She’s known me for years and she has experience in that field. She knows better than just randoms at a meet up group would.

  • Well I had the luxury of dating a psychologist who specializes in diagnoses and her brother is autistic - so she is very aware of autism and how it works and what it looks like in different people.

When I told her that random autistic girls from my comm were making this assumption she gave me the biggest eye roll and a laugh. Because duh, I’m not autistic.

  • god that sucks to hear.

I’m alarmed at the amount of people I met, mostly women, who are like upset when I tell them I’m not autistic. It’s like they want me to be or something. They insisted I needed to get tested to be sure.

Like what is with these people wanting this to be common and wanting to get people join in like its a club? It’s a genetic trait. You either have it or you don’t I thought.

  • Yeah, I mean, I went to pride anyway and I’m bisexual so of course I support LGBTQ+ because I’m part of the group.

But I don’t get treated like I’m part of the group. I just had a trans girl the other day who felt the need to explain to me, what a bisexual is. Like she’s fucking explaining my identity to me and talking down to me and you’re right, they don’t see the hypocrisy because you know if someone explained her identity to her, she’d filp out and other people would be outraged. But being bisexual is seen as “whatever” so its okay to condescend to that group.

So I don’t think that’s really the same left-wing extremism that I was originally talking about. There are left-wing communities like Linux, Open Source Software, Unionization, and Communism. Whereas if you aren’t 100% you might as well be -100%. If you have a slight disagreement on how the system should be ideally then you are the absolute enemy. Zero middle ground

I don’t understand how that is left wing? Like what does Linux have to do with left wing politics?

  • also the new “stereos” on motorcycles that are essentially just PA systems

God I was walking to the store on Saturday and some douche was driving around blasting one of the SHITTIEST red hot chili pepper songs ever and he fucking circled the block a couple times so me and everyone walking down the sidewalks had to endure this fucking god awful song at full fucking volume.

    Fucking inconsiderate as hell.

  • I’m pretty terrified of whats to come.

I see a lot of people say stuff like this and I feel like I’m just waiting around for the collapse yet it keeps not happening.

It kinda reminds me of growing up religious and people being very sure the world was gonna end any minute now and of course it never did.

  • The left wing extremism is part of why I don’t have a lot of in real life friends anymore where I live. I’ve had to either distance myself from people or just stop talking to them at all because they don’t think I’m good enough or something.

Like earlier this year I joined a meet up group in my area and I guess I made the mistake of asking about pride events because somehow that conversation turned into someone saying “you’re a fucking idiot if you don’t question your gender” and other fantastic concepts like “if you’re cis you’re dumb”

Another one is how people will only watch things that are on Netflix or whatever the popular streaming app is now. Some people have asked me for film suggestions but when they find out that it’s not on Netflix, they lose interest even if I provide them with a link to it from archive.org or other very special places.

I hate this too. If its not on a streaming platform, I find most people are perplexed by it. People can’t believe that I still watch old media either. They only want to watch brand new things. It’s like they need to consume what’s new and popular only.
