This would just be an occasional nuisance I reckon. You’d get pretty good at it. Just like all the other mundane things we have to do in our mortal lives.

Are you sure you can’t come in anyway? Janice didn’t turn up either and we’re really stretched.
Has it not? Are you sure the bubble isn’t just 1 light second away? Anything travelling towards you at the speed of light is not perceptible until it hits you. This is why the ability to accelerate something to FTL speeds would be an unstoppable super weapon and most likely lead to interstellar species destroying one another until only 1 remains. Or at least that’s my take.
Societal collapse will happen before human extinction. One way or another everything is going to sort itself out.
However I would prefer that we sort it out and use our might to reverse the damage already done. Otherwise a lot of people (rich and poor) are going to die (and are already dying)
But do you do any of this with what you “know”? Or do you choose to believe it because it is known?
I don’t get it, what’s cringe about making a joke out of people’s selfish and exaggerated behaviour?
// because I said so.
That is overly polite in my opinion. I’m happy to fire up the lawn mower after 9am.
I cannot fathom such deep despair for I only live in a world of seconds.
God speed my simple friend. God speed.
There’s a huge difference between “most clocks” and “most clocks I’ve seen” - especially if your clock experience is restricted to schools.
Do you see a lot of schools? Do you know whether the schools you’ve been to all use the same supplier? How broad is your school clock experience? How many clocks do you think you’ve seen, ever?
Most clocks I’ve seen recently (I can recall exactly 1) have seconds hands. Regardless though I’m not suggesting “most clocks” have seconds hands…I’m just making a quip about how traditional, analogue, clocks have seconds hands to deal with the exact problems noted.
You are correct. If the flow of traffic in lane 1 or 2 is faster than the flow of traffic in lane 2 or 3 then it is okay to pass. Intentionally changing lane temporarily to pass a car on the inside is illegal.
The other poster confused your point.
If someone in lane 3 is going 69 and overtaking someone then there’s no reason to pass them, and probably isn’t safe or legal given there is, by definition, a car on the inside lane already.
