Boomers appeared because the war ended, not because there was a lack of pills.

I love emacs and I used it a lot with org-mode, but you need weeks to master it, and it’s a PITA to configure.
Info is supposedly more modern, like a website. But it’s unusable and as annoying as emacs. Man is good enough.
And /r/iamverysmart too!
You convinced me, I read your text. It sucks and it’s the same bullshit used to sell magic oil to people who have cancer. I hope you’re proud.
The first words:
It’s true that…
Literally your shitty uninformed opinion that appeared to you while you were drunk. I don’t need to read this, it’s always the same conspiratard BS about covid, jews, nazis or stuff like that.
conferences, sites, fundraising, marketing, … and community engagement
BS we don’t need.
I still don’t understand why a software project requires anyone who is not writing software or doing UI/UX.

It’s free for 5 GB of data, the applications don’t count since you can download them again.
Can’t you use iCloud? I haven’t used iTunes for 10 years to backup that thing.

I only used usenet in the past to talk about programming and I’m not knowledgable about it. I guess it never really died but it was hidden because it’s difficult to use: you need to pay for both an indexer AND binaries, it’s weird. I’m still not sure it’s popular. Its usage may increase in some circles due to having some tutorials and applications like Sonarr, but I could be wrong.
a law company can basically send a legal letter asking your ISP
It’s the same in France, and I guess also all over Europe. Those companies mostly look at who is seeding torrents, and that’s why you can safely use direct-downloads like Uptobox (DD) or Usenet.
VPNs can fail and not all VPNs allow you to torrent
You’re pretty safe if you use the application given by the VPN, and most don’t care about torrents. Also e.g. Mullvad has a page to make sure that you are not leaking info (https://mullvad.net/en/check) and other VPNs should have this too.
You can stream movies
The article is wrong here: you either download or you torrent. “Streaming” is not a technical concept. You mostly get caught when you seed.
Look at the guides on TLDP, it can be interesting like https://tldp.org/LDP/Bash-Beginners-Guide/html/index.html
