Why are you using networkd instead of networkmanager on a desktop? The two don’t work together.
Anyway, it looks like a DNS problem. You can manually specify DNS servers (like 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) in whatever network management you’re using.
Alternatively you can edit (I meant /etc/hosts
/etc/resolv.conf
obviously) and then make it immutable (chattr +i /etc/hosts
) to prevent changes.
I hope you get the help you need Drew.
The part where he has been obsessively trying to depose a saintly old man with cancer by misinterpreting stuff he’s written and one thing he allegedly (no proof) said in the 80s. Then he posted in the HN thread praising the report and claimed not to have written it, and fled back to mastodon when it was discovered that he did write it. Then he marked everyone’s post that questioned him as a death thread.
And that was just Tuesday.
Turn up the difficulty?
Keep in mind that sway is written by Drew Devault who is a mentally ill creep (eg https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41837782)

I have the round IKEA one, works fine.
Caddy. The config and docs suck.
Eg. I thought I configured it to limit some sites to an allowlist of IPs. Turns out (months later) the config did nothing, but ran anyway.
I will never ever accept any ad technology except maybe <a href="company_url"><img src="funny_picture.gif"></a>
Yes, in i3, sway, and hyprland with hy3.
We really don’t. We can barely make it to orbit. Boeing is failing at even doing that.
It’s like saying your grandpa can climb Mount Everest because he can shamble to the local tesco. It’s not even close.
We can land corpses or soon-corpses on Mars sure. Getting people there and back reliably and in good shape is going to be extremely difficult if not completely impossible. And the benefit is near zero.
I honestly don’t think any wetware human will ever land on Mars or even enter its orbit.
We’ll be posthuman cyborgs before that happens.
Buying new, unreviewed products can save you money, since sellers often list things cheaper to get a few buyers and then increase the price.
If you’re buying something branded and it’s less than 1/2 of the US price, be prepared for it to be different than in the photos.
What the shit
