Might be worth regreasing it, iFixIt has some good guides on that.
I also have issues with Discord, they just don’t get the linux paradigm. Running it in a browser seems to work okay though (I use Firefox).
My though was their preferred stenography keyboard was made by a company that is now defunct, ergo no updates. Possibly could be overcome with techy means, but I’m guessing the stenographer doesn’t have those.
Could be some software that is no longer supported.

Stock market is all gambling. You just gotta choose a bunch - some indexes, like Dow/S&P, some bonds, and then a few stocks you “like”. Then hold them for decades, and check in only a couple times a year. Otherwise you’ll most likely lose money.
