Would you make a game with functional programming? Or anything with a GUI?
A loom that learned to weave itself.

You write very well, and communicate coherently. I don’t get a “low intelligence” vibe from the structure of your post. Although the negative focus suggests an unhealthy fixation.
It sounds like you might have good emotional intelligence. I think you can find something you’re good at, develop that natural talent into a strong skill, and just give yourself to that.
Also remember that negative thinking creates bad outcomes. I know it’s not your fault, and your negative thinking comes from negative experiences, but you’re clearly demonstrating a kind of intelligence in how you communicate.
Short answer: yes, there’s hope for you. You’re so young. You have time to find what you’re good at and give yourself to that.
Yeah, it totally does mean something. But you shouldn’t let that knowledge keep you in a box. You really have to find out what you’re good at and give yourself to that.

He’s not trapped with them. They’re trapped with him.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day: The Linux Distro
You lost a lot of weight!
What movie is this from?
I’m scared that Elder Scrolls 6 will just be a settlement-building game will endless expansions and upgrades, lightly sprinkled with RPG elements.
Bring back ostentatious codpieces for the dudes
They never went away in my house.
Congrats on getting a job!
Joyless money-hoarding is why I’m currently able to joylessly pay rent during this terrifying bout of unemployment
Why do you need curtains on your windows?
To make sure the whole world isn’t just a window for the HR department. I can have “dissident” views, or just talk trash with my friends, and not get fired since it wasn’t at the office.
To make sure real dissidents (from totalitarian countries) can express their political views.
So a lady can send her husband feet pics without some secret agent spy gawking at them too.
So I can share my family’s secret BBQ sauce recipe with my cousin without Arby’s stealing it (they have eyes everywhere).
But these are all specific things. The truth is that we simply cannot trust institutions with all our data. I don’t need a reason for privacy. They need a reason to have my info. Security is a legit reason to seek citizens’ info, generally, but you should need a specific security-related reason to access a specific person’s data.
Oh nice, fellow Canadians doing the good work.
I would greatly prefer public sector development. I’m just being fatalistic about how our oligarchy conducts itself.
I like democracy, but I don’t like our short-sighted (4-8 year) election-campaign-based governing. But between our public and private sectors I know we can meet this challenge and make this happen.
Man, I wish we (Canada) were that ambitious. I know lemmy hates Elon Musk but I really admire his ambition in technical pursuits. I’m not saying we need more Elon Musks, but we should pursue more grand projects.
I don’t remember ever expecting much.
Ok. I just read the wiki and it’s interesting. What’s a good resource for learning deeper about ECS?
