What!? Why scare the crows away?
What!? Why scare the crows away?
Nice bat!
I don’t understand your response then. If it doesn’t then why would it be a consideration here?
Fine but why does one potential future genocide justify the realized genocide currently under way?
No. I said they’re a convenient excuse. If they were to return then a new excuse would be found. The impetus for this campaign started as “self defense” in response to the Oct 7 attack. Then when that was no longer sufficient to justify things they moved onto the hostages as a bargaining chip.
Not really. Israel has a vested interest in continuing this land grab. The hostages are a convenient excuse, but separate from the inciting event. Furthermore it’s just as likely the hostages have been killed in israeli bombings.
I’ve made no claims about the ethics of Hamas here. Simply put, genocide is not an act of strategy, and putting the ethics of retaliation aside, does nothing to further the security of your own citizens. Israel has not made its people safer, rather the opposite. It has paved the road to open war with other nations, and is walking it.
Just count the dead, injured, displaced, starved, and dehydrated on either side. You’ll find pretty quickly the numbers are extremely disproportionate. If that’s [not] a baseline consideration for your judgment then you should think on that.

Ok. I’m still going to omit it in the future.
Shit that’s how you grammar!?
Some people like it, which I’m happy for, they’re the ones who should have children. But it’s not for everyone and it shouldn’t be stigmatized. I will happily pay taxes to fund kinder care and school. I see the value in society for kids. Just not in my own home.
This is amazing!
In my mid 30’s. Find myself thinking the same. Also when I’m feeling great it’s “there’s no way i could be enjoying this if i had to worry about kids”
Could? Ehhh… Not really, at least while the economy is profitable. Liberals will do anything to stay in a union with their conservative colleagues. If we see wall street deteriorate then there’d be a real possibility.
Sirens of titan. Well, Vonnegut in general. His stories are fine, probably ground breaking for the time in the sense of exploration, but the characters have no depth. It’s like reading a book about npcs. Then there’s the misogyny. Women are simply livestock kept around for breeding in this one, worse than an afterthought.
I don’t think it’s valuable to read even from a historical standpoint. Wiki synopsis would be suggested.
Went from drunk to sober (wasted my beer) and woke up with my head feeling like a spike had been driven through it. 4/10
You accomplish years and years of intense, highly productive and rewarding work then this happens. It’s not about puckering up. Be curious. People have stated things like “depression” and “executive dysfunction”. You can look these up, there are plenty of resources.
There’s also the west coast. The damming of the Columbia, while a natural disaster, made the region viable for manufacture and ship building. In some ways it lead to the possibility for the tech industry as well for better or worse.
Yeah that’s fair. But the works and practice in mobilizing the workforce in the new deal played a big part in the US having industrial capability prior to WWII. Not mentioning other logistics, the power grid improvement alone may have made the difference in the war effort even being possible for the US. After the war private industry continued to benefit from cheap energy coming from those same projects. Hell if there’s a miuntain range in your state you’re almost certainly getting some of your power from a hydro plant made in the 30’s.
Nah, I’d feel rather blessed to trudge through crow poo on the daily in my stompers. SF is brewing something terrible. The crows will have their retribution.
