Villains by Queens of the Stone Age.
…like clockwork (the previous album) is top 3 for me and may be my all time favorite at any given moment. But the follow-up was just not what I was looking for.

Its crazy someone your age works for the FBI!
Fuck yeah. I’m in man. That is damn near my favorite color. You got the touch. Always nice to meet good ass people.
I also have fond memories of those AOL days. When we knew it was real people we were interacting with. What a world of difference now. Glad you made it here! Cheers.
Agreed. The past year has been a great change from other social media personally. I was Reddit only for the prior 7 or so years and Lemmy feels like a time hop back to pre-dystopic Internet days. I approach it more like my favorite forums from the 90’s-00’s.
Less content and users are ok when it leads to more civil engagement’s.
as they are privacy focused and have significantly fewer users, not yet.
but, the more users contributing and making requests, the sooner it could be integrated.
you can help by being one of those users!
They (I use that term to mean the average 4channer) were co-opted by alt right propaganda.
Most neckbeard, incel, Andrew Tate followers are what Anon originally was. We just lied to ourselves that it wasn’t really racist and that we were fighting a good fight.
Now, its a bunch of sad lonely people that found acceptance in intolerance and hatred.
I’m the cash-shop-anocerous. All my microtransactions bleed your wallet like a phlebotomus.
can report UEFI installs of PopOS and Mint were recently borked by a Win11 update.
Buying stock is a risk. If you don’t know what you’re buying, don’t be surprised when it fails.
I’m exhausted with investors thinking they aren’t subject to risk. Fuck em all.
It’s weird that you make that comparison. I have been an avid 2fort fan since og TF and feel like that map at least had some breathing room to get away from the constant grenades spam and chaos. It might not have been much but there was at least a chance to stop for a split second and figure out what the hell is going on.
I think being able to choose whether I wanted to jump into a 24/7 2fort server or not also helped with the feeling of “this map is trash why are we even here” less than it does in modern games where you only have skill-based matchmaking and voting based upon randos.
I love a good 2fort battle with people I know and have been playing with for years.
Yeah that might be the thing that isn’t jiving well with me. It just feels like chaos. There’s nothing tactical about mashing the fire button and spinning in a circle. Definitely a skill issue.
Gripping points. Thank you for your contribution.
I am so, so close to doing the same. Still have a small partition carved out for CoD and Windows. I just find myself booting in to it less and less.
Thank goodness MicroVision seems to be keen on continuing to flog that dead horse with a Warzone focus, means I can finally be free.
Thanks for the rec! Typing on it now. Pretty decent so far. I dig the hover on the word as i swipe
Also posting from a Pixel 7 running Graphene for abouta year. No issues, I use Fdroid for most apps and Aurora when I have too. Only bummer is I haven’t found a good FOSS keyboard with swipe. Really miss gboard for that and gif insertion.
There was a great response to this from Gabe several years ago (looks like 13 years ago, fuck, I’m old)…

There’s always one!
So glad to not be alone on this. It felt unfocused. I think working with Mark Ronson gave Homme a bit too much leeway to make an album that tried to hard to be cool.
It somehow went over the ironic/unironic line that Queens has always danced around.
Like Clockwork has moments that veered towards camp and cheese but never felt insincere or cloying.
