Knife sharpening. Not hard to learn how to do it decently, and hard to find someone who can do it decently. The equipment is not too expensive either. 40$ for a good coarse stone (you will need one!!!) And 40$ for a decent combo stone of medium and fine. You probably want a good flattening stone too.
DONT use amazon, all of the stones there are scams. A good coarse stone is a Naniwa lobster 220. A good combo stone is the KING KDS 1000/6000.
I would only recommend short games. Ive been gaming my whole life and basically quit recently, because I was playing grindy games that were so exhausting mentally.
Even great games like Terraria, Minecraft and dont starve leave me exhausted. Such huge time sinks. Ive moved onto hobbies that are much more satisfying.
Aeropress coffee maker.
Its like 20$, works really well, very simple design with few things to break.
Swiss army knives. You’ll find at least one in everyone’s bedside drawer or junk drawer.
Ive found them dull all the time, but never broken
The TSA confiscates tens of thousands of these things
Im not sure if this is relevant but I completely agree
Depends what you use it for. If you are trying to provide something informational, I do not trust chat gpt.
If you use it to respond to work emails because they force communication for the sake of communication, then its fine.
Trump
Please tell me to go fuck my self in the coolest way possible
This might not work long term but for my ADHD I pit a timer for my task.
Depending on the task, I will come up with a time just long enough to complete it. I’ll start the timer and be so busy rushing I don’t even think about how much I hate it. Just blaze through it as fast as possible.
You get to pursue all of the really niche crafts. Things like clock making and random complicated stuff like that.
I don’t think one could ever be bored with enough curiosity, and the means to pursue it.
Isn’t the party in power pro Russian? Would make sense then.
Soup!
This is the key behind the fertility crisis of first world countries. SHITS TOO EXPENSIVE. A house is 10 years worth of income, college like 3 years worth, a car (which needs to be replaced every 5-10 years) around a years worth, plus food, bills, taxes and all of this other shit makes it impossible.
I met a lot of people with traumatic histories, and were very insecure. They are utterly exhausting to be around. Constant nitpicking, valid criticism with brutal delivery. Make excuses to undermine others accomplishments.
They are not bad people, or have malicious intentions, but can only be described as utterly exhausting. You are always on edge.
I’m glad people still admire altruism. I have ADHD and a weird symptom of it is a “rigid moral compass” and a “strong sense of righteousness”.
I had pretty cynical and rich parents that were very skeptical of my worldview and attitude. I sort of accepted that I’d remain alone by " doing the right thing". Glad to see it may not be that way 🤞
There are some services I use that make like a million charges under a dollar. Those are really hard to manage so I use a privacy card with a spending limit to keep track of them.
I have elderly family that seem miserable because they never bother to learn or achieve anything since they are “too old” for it to matter.
They assume retirement is just lounging around all day until you die. They don’t pursue hobbies, read books and are not very active since it “doesn’t matter” .
Figuring out abusive relationships for me was hard because I knew friends with good intentions, and gave valid criticism but were absolutely brutal about it.
Now I very rarely associate with very insecure people. They are always looking to “prove” themselves, often by putting others down.
They can’t just accept someone’s accomplishment, they have to go “well actually you got help from so and so…” And always try to undermine your achievements. Extremely mentally exhausting people.
The victory of Donald trump is evident of that. His selling point was “I’m gonna fix EVERYTHING”, dems pledge was “We’re not Donald trump!”. Dems lost fucking terribly.
Oblugatroy I voted for Harris, but it’s hard not to see that people are already desperate.
